Kids Librarian Shout-Out

Since we moved here, Dominic has become a library “power user”.

We go once a week and leave with a stack of books. Usually 2 or so books that he thinks look fun for us to read to him. And 5-6 books that are at his reading level for him to read to us or to himself. Many times he gets home and just sits on the couch and starts looking through everything. Especially if there’s something in there he’s read before and wants to revisit.

Shoutout to the public librarians! Children’s librarians in particular.

They always ask him about what he’s into and make suggestions of things that he may like. They know every book in that children’s section and Dom only needs to mention a subject and they’re pulling books off the shelves. It’s how we discovered some of Dominic’s favorites! They’re the best!
