A Month of Thanks Day 29 - Katie

Katie has been with my brother for a long time. I remember them beginning to date and thinking how much I liked her. That feeling hasn’t changed over the years.

Katie is fun to be around. She’s a caring person who remembers the details about you. She will remember that you like diet coke or a certain kind of wine and make sure it’s in the fridge if you’re coming over. When she and my brother went to a wedding that was Harry Potter themed, they took home some flower centerpieces made from Harry Potter book pages because she knew I was a reader who loves the series.

She helped plan my book-themed baby shower and scoured Pinterest for ideas to make it super special.

She’s raising three beautiful children (with my brother, of course). She’s a kind person and a great mom. She is a great listener. She has the ability to know if you need to vent and have someone agree with everything you say, or someone to listen and offer advice, or someone to talk you off a ledge. She’s a really great compliment to my brother, and I’m so happy she’s a part of our family.
