A Festivus for the Rest of Us

As I wrote here, I am so fortunate to work with a wonderful team. My first year teaching in this particular building we started celebrating Festivus - a holiday all Seinfeld fans are familiar with. Matt gets a pole and displays it in front of the rehearsal room door with a crude sign that says “Happy Festivus”.

We have that season of Seinfeld on DVD and we watch it with our students on the last rehearsal before vacation. It’s become a tradition with our students. They ask about it and the picture above is an ornament a student gave me as a gift.

It’s always a fun day. Happy early Festivus - it’s actually on 12/23!
