Check-In with the Comeaus

I’m finally at a mental place where I can take a moment and look over here. Brush the dust off of this outlet of mine.

The last day I taught at school was Friday, march 13. I look back on this site, and I had posted about Podcasts that morning. It was a post I had scheduled a couple of weeks prior, not realizing that would be the last day I’d teach for this school year. There were a few other posts that went up since then, scheduled in advance, that I had forgotten about.

It’s funny how much life has changed since then.

Our family is doing just fine. Dennis is working from home. I’m teaching from home and teaching my kids. We have good days and hard days, but at the end of the day, we’re doing fine.

I’m trying really hard to keep my eyes open and appreciate the extra time I get to spend with my kids, even though sometimes I snap at them or let them use tablets for way too long because I either need to do work or need a mental break. We’re getting outside almost every day. I’ve never been home during the spring, so I’m trying to enjoy that as well.
