Christmas Menu
I love to cook. It’s really fun for me to plan a delicious meal and it’s a way I like to show people I appreciate them. I don’t usually cook fancy dishes - simple and delicious are my jam.
This is a sneak preview into what we are dishing up this Christmas. We are hosting my parents Christmas Eve and Dennis’ parents Christmas Day. My folks will probably also stop by on Christmas Day morning before they go see my brother.
Christmas Eve (we usually do a buffet-style dinner):
Tossed garden salad
Chicken Spaghetti (recipe from my Magnolia Table cookbook)
Herbed Cheddar Scones (another recipe from my Magnolia Table cookbook)
Homemade meatballs - these can cook and then sit in the crockpot!
Christmas Day Morning:
All the coffee
Cinnamon rolls - we’re a fan of the Grands ones. I’d like to get my own version that we love, but to simplify life we will probably do the Grands.
I’ll have bagels, cream cheese, and fruit on hand because I’m not sure what time the kids will wake and when my folks will stop by,
Christmas Day (we usually do a sit-down dinner):
Lasagna - This is going to be Dennis’ project. I’m advocating for sausage to make an appearance in the lasagna.
Tossed Salad
Homemade Bread
Probably leftover meatballs on the side
Friends - what are you doing for Christmas? Do you love to cook or are you dreading it? If you have a great recipe, please share!
